Chord progression generator

Most chord progression generators ask you to pick a key and a formula. Hummingchord asks you to hum. Sing, whistle or hum the melody you already have and it generates the guitar and piano chord progression that fits it — then lets you edit, print and save it.

How the generator works

1. Hum your melody

Tap record and hum, sing or whistle four bars — no notation, no chord names, no music theory needed.

2. It finds the key

Your notes are analysed on your own device, and the generator works out the key, the tempo and the chords that fit.

3. Play the progression

Every chord in the progression comes with a playable fretboard shape, plus capo and transpose for your voice.

4. Keep it

Hear it back on piano, print a lead sheet, export MIDI, and save the progression to My Songs.
